Any thoughts on my Wizard’s First Rule discovery?
I’ve been reading about Wizard’s First Rule’s screen adaptation, cuz I just finished the 2nd book (No spoilers please, i’ve only read the first 2) And none of the sites I read mentioned which studio would make it…until I went to “Tv.com”

Basically…if Disney is making it, they’re going to change A LOT. There’s so much rape and murder and violence in the books, there’s no way it will be the same.
If you have other info, saying it’s not Disney, I’d appreciate it. If not, any opinions?
Sci-Fi.com and Variety claim that Sam Raimi is behind the series, so Spider-Man 3 aside, the material is in capable hands.

According to Dark Horizins, Terry Goodkin himself said that a mini-series would be the better venue for the first novel than a movie, so at least he seems to be on board.

HOWEVER, to address your concern, one fan site claims to have inside info that Terry himself said the series would TRY to follow the novel’s storyline, but will have to extrapolate and expand in other directions to “grab the viewer’s attention”. So as you fear, it looks like the series will be different from the books…
